Herniated Discs

A traumatic injury to the spine can cause a herniated disc, sometimes called a ruptured or dislocated disc. Located between the vertebrae, discs act as spinal shock absorbers. A traumatic injury, overuse, twisting or lifting motions can all cause a disc to rupture. When that happens, the jelly-like substance inside the disc can come into contact with a spinal nerve and cause extreme pain. Spinal injury victims may experience pain, numbness or weakness in the back, legs or arms.

A spinal injury can result in significantly diminished range of motion, extreme pain and substantial disability. Surgery is often required.

Shouldn't those responsible for causing your spinal injury be held responsible? Of course they should. Take the first step toward justice. Contact Dansky Katz Ringold & York, P.C. today.
